  • Nike — Based in Beaverton, Oregon, Unites States, Nike has been trading in sports equipment since 1964. Interesting fact: the name Nike is borrowed from the Greek goddess of victory.
  • Adidas — Adidas Group is a German-headquartered company which sells sports equipment under the Adidas and Reebok brands. The company originated in 1924, after being founded by brothers Adi and Rudi Dassler. Fortunately, its name is much easier to pronounce and write -- it was originally called Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory).
  • Asics — Asics is a Japan-based company, with its headquarters in Kobe, Japan. It has a long history in manufacturing high-quality sporting goods, having been founded as the Onitsuka Co., Ltd in September of 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka. Although it began manufacturing basketball shoes, the company grew to offer the much wider variety of products for which they are famous today.
  • 2XU — 2XU engineers the leading high performance compression fabric (PWX) through rigorous independent testing with the world's top athletes and research institutes, resulting in the most advanced garments on the market.
  • Skins — Skins is an Australian company that offers a "wide range of technical performance equipment designed and engineered to optimise your body's performance and recovery, whatever level of activity you undertake."
  • Running Bare — Running Bare is a sportswear and accessories firm based in Putney, UK, and established in 2004. It specializes in activewear that "incorporates a lifestyle philsophy for women synonymous with confidence, success, positive energy and awareness."
  • Russell Athletics — Russell Athletics is a division of Russell Corporation, a manufacturer of shoes, apparel and sports equipment based in Alabama, USA. It was founded by Benjamin Russell in 1902.
  • Champion — Champion is a US-based manufacturer of clothing with a specialization in sportswear. They are based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. An interesting historical fact is that a range of sporting innovations, including the sports bra, reversible t-shirts, and breathable mesh clothing.
